Building a School-Led Evidence Base in the North East: Autumn Term 2
By WhatWorked Education
Online event
Overview
Teachers in the North East are co-creating evidence by testing classroom strategies through micro-trials to improve outcomes.
Join our 30-minute launch event introducing the North East Combined Authority project with WhatWorked Education – empowering North East teachers to build evidence of what works in classrooms.
We’ll share how teacher-led micro-trials are helping build a regional evidence base for school improvement, with over 900 pupils and 51 teachers already involved.
This Autumn Term 2, we’re focusing on two promising interventions:
- Year 1 Number Fluency (Number Bonds 1–10) – flashcard-based daily practice to boost rapid recall.
- Year 4/5 Reading Inference using Visual Frames – supporting structured responses to 2- and 3-mark questions.
Discover how your school can take part, access instant impact reports, and contribute to evidence-informed practice across the North East.
Available free to schools in Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside and Sunderland.
