‘Building Archaeological Chronologies’ Workshop
The 'Building Archaeological Chronologies' Workshop arose out of recommendations from the Scottish Archaeological Research Framework's (ScARF) Science Panel report that highlighted a need to improve communication and dialogue between archaeologists, artefact specialists and archaeological scientists working in Scotland. This workshop follows on from the first, which was held at the University of Glasgow in December 2013 on chipped and coarse stone in Scottish prehistory.
The programme for the day:

9:40–10:30 Dendrochronology (Anne Crone, AOC)
10:30–11:20 Archaeomagnetic dating (Cathy Batt, University of Bradford)

14:30–14:50 Other techniques (Gordon Cook, SUERC)

The workshop is free to attend and includes teas/coffees and lunch.
