🎤 Speaker Profile ✨

Claudio Moderini is a design director, researcher and educator with a background in architecture and design, currently Design Director & Founding Partner at Innovation by Design (IxD), a transdisciplinary think-tank, design strategy and innovation boutique with offices in Boston, Milan and Seoul.

He is member of the Board of Directors of the Fondazione Museo del Design - Triennale Design Museum of Milan and has been director of Domus Academy, post-graduate school and international laboratory for innovation through design based in Milan, Italy.

His main competencies range from creative direction to envisioning and strategic design, applied to the development of advanced solutions for the design sector. His main design and research interests range from the introduction of Digital Technology in the everyday life and environment, to the potentiality of experience design to innovate the product and service design processes.

He has led more than 40 research and design workshops in collaboration with international companies, among them Alias, Camper, Canon, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, MNS, Motorola, Nokia, Pioneer, Puma, Samsung, Tag Heuer, TDK, and within EU research initiatives.

Innovation by Design: IxD is a transdisciplinary think-tank, design strategy and innovation boutique. With offices in Milan, Boston and Seoul, IxD designs and prototypes disruptive experiences by providing fast-paced innovation and project implementation. Composed of multidisciplinary designers, professionals and design researchers, IxD was founded in 2014 by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) professor and founder/director of the MIT Design Lab and the MIT Mobile Experience Lab, Federico Casalegno.
