Building Confidence in AI
Overview
This seminar will explore a range of generative AI tools, and demonstrate how they may be used to simplify and streamline a range of administrative and personal tasks.
Tea and coffee will be served from 5pm. The event begins at 5.30pm.
Speaker:
Ella Wicks is currently seconded to the role of Content Officer at the AI Competency Centre, where her work focuses on promoting the University's approach to responsible AI adoption and helping colleagues build AI literacy. Previously, she worked as Office Manager at the Centre for Teaching and Learning, supporting their aim to enhance teaching and learning across the University.
An early adopter of generative AI at Oxford, Ella is an AI Ambassador and been a part of University pilots of ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot. Her background includes puppet and specialist costume making in film, as well as work in ceramics. She is particularly interested in how AI can support personal productivity and empower individuals to make AI work for them.
