Building Connection - What makes Teams work?

Welcome to our exciting event where we dive into the secrets of successful teams! Join us for an in-person gathering filled with insightful discussions, interactive activities, and networking opportunities.

Whether you’re part of a work team, a community group, a creative collective or a neighbourhood project, almost everyone becomes part of a team at some point. And this means learning how to connect and collaborate, while getting things done.

In this hands-on, in-person workshop, we’ll explore what really helps groups work well together, and how the same ingredients that make strong friendships (like trust and curiosity) also help teams thrive.

We’ll share stories from our own experiences as a close-knit service design team that often steps into new places and works with new people, and we’ll invite you to reflect on what connection means in your own teams and communities.

What to expect:

  • Interactive activities to explore how connection feels and forms
  • Real examples of what helps teams trust and collaborate quickly
  • Space to share your own experiences and insights
  • Practical takeaways you can use in any group setting from workplaces to local projects
