In this online learning, you will find lots of practical information to help you progress your partnership into the future in a sustainable and exciting way!

You will learn from the experiences of Scottish schools whose partnerships have thrived in spite of the obstacles they have faced together, along with a suite of tools to use in developing engaging joint curriculum projects to enhance teaching and learning in both schools. Links to Curriculum for Excellence will be clearly demonstrated along the way.

This space is a chance for you to :

* Evaluate what your partnership currently looks like

* Create a five year vision

* Establish effective and fair partnership agreements

* Plan an effective school visit

* Understand how power impacts on your partnership

* Maintain a long term partnership

This partnership focused CLPL provides invaluable support to any schools looking to build sustainable and meaningful connections both locally and globally. You will leave with the confidence to take forward the learning and apply to your own school partnership.

Schools in more than 50 countries have discovered that an school partnership provides an ideal way for young people to learn about the wider world, become active global citizens and prepare for work in a global economy. There’s no more authentic way for pupils to learn about global issues than by working with their peers in another country.


We are collecting your personal information on behalf of the British Council to arrange training and to provide you with mentoring and support for the duration of training courses. Your information will also be shared with Ecorys UK, a third party research consultancy commissioned by the British Council to compile reports on the impact of Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning (CCGL) training on teaching practice. The legal basis for collecting your personal information is agreement with the Terms and Conditions of the CCGL programme (contract).

You will be asked to complete surveys which are used to monitor and evaluate the quality of training and its impact on teaching practice.
