Overview

Local foundations meet global operations, exits and expansion.

🚀 Building Global Ventures: Batley Entrepreneurship Club Event 🚀

Join us on Friday 30 January 2026 for our next major gathering of the Batley Entrepreneurship Club (BEC) Network, where local foundations meet global operations, exits and expansion.

This event brings two heavyweight founders to Batley:

  • One who exited the UK to Bahrain
  • One who scaled from local roots to 60+ locations

Both are now coming to Batley to share what it really takes to build successful ventures.

Why You Must Attend:

🌍 Building Global Ventures: Learn what happens to build, scale, systemise, exit and go global from local roots. This is not startup theory, it's lived execution from entrepreneurs in the trenches!

🚀 Showcase & Spotlights: See and hear from local BEC members as they present their business or project to the network. This is your chance to position yourself in front of peers, partners and potential backers.

💡 2026 Roadmap: Hear the 2026 plan and vision for BEC and how you can be part of it; including the mentorship programme, upcoming skills workshops and other initiatives.

🤝 Networking & Community: Connect with the core BEC community, mentors, investors, professionals and partners who are committed to uplifting local talent.

🎙️ Guest Speakers: Hear from special guest speakers: Azam Jaafri (Venture Builder & Investor) - Yorkshire Graft. Bahrain Exit. Pathways to a Beautiful Tomorrow & Yousif Aslam (Co-Founder of Heavenly Desserts) - Local Foundations. Global Operations. Heavenly’s Zero-to-Sixty Trajectory.

Refreshments, vibes, and Batley energy: this is where things happen!

What is BEC?

Batley Entrepreneurship Club is a grassroots movement aimed at driving economic, creative and cultural revival in a town long written off.

Supporting Batley’s builders and backers:

  • Connect with like-minded entrepreneurs, creators and investors
  • Create bold projects, ventures and collaborations
  • Commercialise ideas that solve real problems

Whether you’re a Builder (starting your first business, scaling an existing one, building a brand, making a career change) or a Backer (supporting the next generation with mentorship, guidance and/or investment), BEC is where people belong, collaborate and grow.

  • From community to capital.
  • From storytelling to startups.
  • From forgotten to forward-focused.

BEC is laying the blueprint for other small towns and cities to do the same - collectively revitalising the UK from the bottom up in preparation for the disruptive AI age.

Recently backed and funded by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA). Also supported and sponsored by Chaiiwala Batley & Moduliv.

Whilst the club's focus is Batley and the surrounding areas, this event is open for all nationwide.
