Building our Theory of Change Workshop
Now that we are clear about commitment to addressing in-work poverty, it’s important that we create a shared vision of the change we want to achieve. A Theory of Change is a framework for describing the impact we want to make, and how we will know when we’re on the right track. It acts as our ‘North Star’, reminding us all of what we’re aiming towards and helping us test if our ideas take us in the right direction.
Helen and Kerry from Brightpurpose will work with us on 7 October to start building our Theory of Change. They’ll lead us through a range of activities to agree our vision, identify the conditions that need to be in place for us to achieve the vision and think about how we will measure progress. They will take all everything away and use it to develop a draft Theory of Change, for us to review and refine. The session will start at 09.30 sharp (refreshments from 09.00) and finish at 12.30 with lunch provided afterwards.
There is no need for previous experience with creating or using a Theory of Change, and no homework in advance. Just bring yourself and your passion for making change happen in Redcar and Cleveland.
This is an important step in our work, and I look forward to creating our vision together.
Lunch is included in this workshop. If you have any allergy or dietary requirements, please let us know by emailing geeta.sharma@lbfewcommunities.org.uk
