Join our star panel – rugby filmmaker and content creator Victoria Rush, rugby journalist, author & media expert Alison Kervin OBE and artist and Kate Howe – as we discuss resilience in art, sport and life, and what it takes to survive and thrive in today’s world.
Victoria Rush is a vastly experienced content creator, producer and filmmaker, who recently founded independent rugby media channel All 80 Rugby. Victoria’s rugby documentary ‘No Woman No Try’ – focusing on the challenges facing elite women rugby players off the pitch – recently made its debut on Amazon Prime Video.
Alison Kervin OBE is a renowned sports journalist with an extensive history in rugby coverage. As well as being the first woman to be sports editor of a national newspaper at the Mail On Sunday, she was the first female editor of Rugby World magazine, and the first woman to referee at Twickenham. She now runs Gold Medals Media Agency, running writing courses, hosting event panels and giving keynote speeches. She sits on numerous judging panels and is on the board of British Lacrosse. She was awarded an OBE in the 2017 New Year’s Honours.
Kate Howe is a multi-disciplinary artist who blends her time as an artist, writer and post-graduate researcher at the University of Leeds with her role as Founding Director, Artist In Residence and a mentor and coach at the RuptureXIBIT creative incubator in South-West London. Kate’s work – which explores gender identity and the socialisation of gendered violence through paintings, installations and performance art – has been shown across London, Leeds and the US.
