Event description

Description

Stress at work is perfectly understandable, however, dealing with it isn’t a natural process for most of us. This workshop will explain how and why stress can affect us poorly and how Positive Psychology can help you deal with and develop resilience to negative situations & people. The workshop will essentially provide you with techniques and tools you’d usually learn in one to one psychotherapy sessions that, if used regularly, build mentally strong thought processes that can actually reduce the possibility of mental health issues.

Tough situations and difficult people will sooner or later come into our lives, but how you choose to deal with them ‘is’ within your control. This workshop will teach you practical and proven psychology tools that will improve your own resilience to these tough situations so that you can remain happy, positive and in good mental health. The aim of this session is to help you recognise when you might need support and develop self-confidence and motivation.

This workshop is for social workers located in the middle-to-North of the county. There is also a duplicate event being held in the South of the county. Please be sure to book onto the venue nearest to you.

Refreshments will be provided, but you will need to bring your own lunch (there is a cafeteria on site if you wish to purchase a lunch there)

9.00am for registration and refreshments for a prompt 9.30am start.
