Event Information
About this Event
Education Scotland invites practitioners from the Forth Valley & West Lothian, South East and Tayside regions to join us for a three part professional learning programme around the theme of Building STEM capital with families and communities.
The programme will introduce you to the existing research into STEM capital and the impact this has on equity and equality. We will share examples of STEM approaches and resources that can be used to enhance your practice. Furthermore, we will signpost you to partners and organisations across the East of Scotland who are keen to support and collaborate on this type of activity.
Session 3 will be led by Beverley Ferguson and Susan Doherty with input from colleagues in the field. This session will include further examples of STEM Family Learning and Parental Engagement/Involvement and Learning at Home and encourage practitioners to consider how they could use these in their own setting. The session will highlight the importance of effective partnership working within and across learning communities. This session is suitable for practitioners from all sectors with an interest in family learning.
