Workshop for volunteer managers and co-ordinators

About this Event

Volunteering is a vital part of community life for many people, but there are concerns about the ever-growing demands that are placed on the voluntary sector by both civil society and the public sector. A key priority for many volunteering organisations is how to ensure that the services that they provide are sustainable, and for many this means finding ways to grow and build their volunteering numbers.

About these workshops

Dr Debra Gray, Reader in Social Psychology from the University of Winchester, will be presenting the results of research into the volunteering experience. This will enable you to gain an understanding of volunteer motivation, help improve your volunteer recruitment and retention as well as outcomes for volunteers themselves. You will also be provided with a toolkit with information to take away with you.
