Event description

Description

The Greater Irvine Chamber is leading a delegation of business and life science experts to the UK to meet with life science and technology companies exploring expansion into the US and Southern California. The goal of the mission is to build awareness for Irvine/Orange County and its life science industry, connect with and encourage UK-based life science companies to look at Irvine/Orange County when they consider expansion into the US.

As part of this mission, we are delighted to invite you to an ABHI-supported panel discussion and networking reception: Building the Health Technology Eco-System between the UK and Irvine/Orange County.

In line with ABHI’s US market entry programme, we have developed partnerships with key business groups throughout some of America’s most important centres for commerce. The Irvine/Orange County district of Southern California is a significant Health Technology hub and we are actively exploring business opportunities for British companies in the area.

View the event programme here.

The event will feature a brief introduction to the California and Irvine/Orange County life science and healthcare eco-system, audience engagement and panel discussion of the following issues: the role of U.S. and U.K. angel and venture capital in funding life science innovations and products; compare and contrast the eco-system landscapes of each country; options for collaboration; research & development opportunities; value-based healthcare and the U.S. experience – what are the implications for the U.K. and decision-making tips and tools for evaluating expansion into the U.S.
