Course Overview

  • This training programme run by Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) offers you the chance to gain valuable skills and relevant qualifications for employment to work within childcare. Subject to eligibility checks, this course is government funded.
  • As part of the course, you will have the chance to gain a wide range of employment skills alongside studying to achieve a nationally recognised Level 2 Certificate in Caring for Children and Young People qualification, and an Emergency Paediatric First Aid certificate.
  • The qualification will provide you with the essential knowledge which is required to work in the childcare industry covering topics such as child development, the value of play, safeguarding, child welfare, learning support and government legislation.
  • Working in a small group session, individual needs will be identified and skills will be developed in a friendly and mature environment. The skills and qualifications gained upon completion of this course will enable you to pursue a career within childcare, with the opportunity to further your knowledge through additional training.

Course Dates
This course will run for seven days on 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21 and 22 October 2019.
Course Times
You will be required to attend lessons from 10am to 2.30pm each day of the course.
