Event description
Compelling insights into what you need to be preparing in order to navigate a successful business exit strategy.

About this Event

As a business owner, you should always be thinking about your next move. In some cases, that’s your business exit strategy. There are many reasons to want to plan an exit strategy: retirement, change of interests or circumstances, an unexpected offer, a new and potentially more lucrative business venture, needing to raise money, or wanting to spend more time with family are some of the more common reasons.

There are, of course, a host of ways to exit your business and, with those, a varied range of considerations. But unless you are very fortunate, all these considerations require a clear and concise plan. And time to build it.

During this event we'll explore the key elements required for any business exit strategy, which you will then be able transfer into a plan that's right for you and your business.

To successfully transition from your business with the best deal takes planning. So whether you are looking for information to cement an existing plan or just beginning your journey, join us for a morning sure to bring fresh ideas, implementable insights and encouragement.

This interactive session will be led by two industry figures who have been there, seen it and done it.

Bernie Schiemer - CEO, Vincere

Prior to Vincere, Bernie spent 16 years as a recruitment business owner. In 2000, he co-founded James Harvard International out of London, before relocating the following year to Tokyo and establishing the Asia-Pac business, growing from 3 - 115 staff in just under 6 years.

In 2007, Bernie sold the James Harvard International business to Hays PLC, at which point the combined headcount of the APAC and European businesses stood at 300+, with a turnover of $27m. As managing director of Hays Japan, Bernie successfully completed his earn-out in December 2009.

Jack Barton - Advisor, Investor

In August 2018 Jack successfully sold his stake in the property recruitment business he created 14 years previously. Now a chairman and advisor to a range of businesses both inside and outside of recruitment, Jack is well-positioned to offer an objective and holistic view on scaling and existing a business, mergers and acquisitions and management buy-outs.

This will be advice not to be missed.
