Built for Zero: How a community is using data driven solutions to end rough sleeping

This webinar will explore how statutory commissioned and non-commissioned services in the London Borough of Brent are working together to end homelessness for rough sleepers. The community is using the 'Built for Zero' methodology to better understand local homeless systems through the collection of live data and creation of a 'By Name List' (BNL), which tracks all rough sleepers in the borough. Data is used to focus partnership working, improve service planning and target prevention efforts, with a current focus on pathways into and out of commissioned housing-related support. Representatives from the council and Crisis will present the community’s progress.

The webinar will be co-led by:

Laurence Coaker, Director of Housing Needs and Support, Brent Council, has over 35 years’ experience of working in Housing, and was previously seconded to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government as a specialist advisor on tackling homelessness.

Bridie Lane-Williams, Built for Zero Local Improvement Lead at Crisis and Brent Council, has experience in the non-profit sector leading continuous improvement projects within drug and alcohol and homelessness services. She is passionate about equality and a just society for all.
