Join Kate from UoL's Sustainability Team for a bulb planting afternoon in our Halls of Residence! No prior experience in gardening necessary...
Help improve biodiversity by coming along to this bulb planting session! We'll supply all the equipment, just wear suitable clothes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty.
We will be planting carefully chosen pollinator-supporting bulbs (specifically for those keen in botany: Galanthus Nivalis, Muscari Armeniacum, Muscari Siberian Tiger and Allium Siculum). This should help attract wild bee and insect species to our green spaces, and contribute towards a wilder, more biodiverse Bloomsbury.
Gardening has been shown multiple times to improve mental wellbeing, so come along and see your stresses melt away.
Meeting point: Outside College Hall (UoL), Malet Steet. 1.30pm.
Once we have planted enough bulbs in College Hall, we may then migrate to Connaught Hall (approx 5 mins walk away).
If you can only join the activity from a later time, please email sustainability@london.ac.uk and we can coordinate meeting you.
