At Bulbs and Birds, children will learn how to plant their own spring bulbs as well as learning about how we take care of wildlife over winter.
Activities are likely to include:
- Planting spring bulbs: Children will learn how to do it so they can go home and try it themselves.
- Making seed packets and collecting seeds: Children will be able to collect seeds so they can take them home to grow next year.
- Bird hunt: Take part in a little bird hunt around the garden and learn about different birds.
- Making a bird feeder: Children will be able to make their own bird feeder to take home to take care of the birds as food becomes more scarce.
This event is perfect for children who are curious about nature and want to learn how to grow their own food and flowers. It’s a relaxed, casual drop-in event where your child can get their hands dirty, learn about gardening, and take home some bits to grow!
