Event description
Bullying and Harassment can affect us all, so today we bring together civil servants from across departments to raise awareness.

About this event

Civil Service Local are proud to bring you this event as part of their 'Unity, Not Uniformity' Connect event.

Respecting people is central to us working well as part of a team… not only should we treat our customers and partners with respect, welcoming diversity and all that brings, but we need to ensure we do the same with our colleagues at all levels and in all teams across our organisations.

The potential to feel someone has bullied, harassed or discriminated against you can come from anywhere – across grades, between leaders and members of their teams and also from peers and others outside your own teams.

Being part of a healthy, productive team requires that everyone is responsible for what they do and say and for the impact they have on others. People who work with us, or are our customers should feel valued, respected, and that they’ve been treated fairly.

This session will help colleagues to reflect on the potential impact that Bullying, Harassment and Discrimination can have, and consider that in some instances an early intervention, or conversation between the affected people can check the potential for behaviour to drift towards being classed as Bullying Harassment and Discrimination.
