Bunhill Fields Burial Ground
Event Information
About this event
Bunhill Fields is a Nonconformist burial ground dating from the 1660's and the site of around 123,000 burials. It’s the final resting place of John Bunyan, Isaac Watts, Daniel Defoe and William Blake, along with many other leading intellectuals, radicals and clergymen from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
It also has a garden designed by Sir Peter Shepheard - a leading landscape architect of the 20th century.
Come find out who else is buried there - without whom internet search engines such as google, yahoo, etc. might not exist!
Please note that the paths behind the railings are composed of gravel so unsuitable for wheeled transport - but the tour can still be undertaken, at distance, from the main pathways. Please contact us if you would like to discuss access requirements.
Our walks take place in all weathers so come prepared - sunscreen or umbrella!
Our Guides have all been accredited by the Institute of Tourist Guiding (ITG) and follow its Covid-19 Guidance guidelines for Tour Guiding.
