That’s exactly why we’re teaming up with Bordeaux Wine and our host "The Wine Wally" this September to try and make sense of it all in the most down-to-earth way possible a tasty burger and glass of it in hand.
Hosted by Liam D’Arcy (@thewinewally), this fun evening is designed for anyone who’s ever looked at Bordeaux on a shelf and not known where to start. Together we’ll explore six incredible Bordeaux wines (plus a welcome drink), each thoughtfully paired with five indulgent mini burgers plus a dessert, giving you an easy way in to a region that can you might feel intimidating from the outside.
From our tangy Goat’s Cheese Burger with fennel, apple, and almond slaw matched to a fresh, modern Bordeaux, to our Mushroom & Truffle Burger with parmesan and truffle shoestring potatoes you’ll see how Bordeaux stretches far beyond its reputation for heavy reds and high price tags.
Throughout the night, Liam will keep it simple, sharing the kind of beginner-friendly Bordeaux cheat codes that inspired him when he was first trying to wrap his head around the region, so that you’ll leave knowing how to approach, taste, and enjoy it with more confidence.
