About this Event

Join us for a very special evening of tasters from Burma to contemporary Myanmar.

This beautifully presented book serves as a unique hybrid of family memoir and cookbook.

Bridget Anderson, Professor of: Migration, Mobilities and Citizenship at the University of Bristol, equips each hunger inspiring recipe provided by her brother, Stephen Anderson, with family biography and historical research providing each dish and Burma’s past with rich texture. Stephen Anderson has 2 restaurants in Valencia, serving Decolonial Asian Food in a mission that “respects culinary traditions, celebrates cultural encounters and sharing, and looks forward to a world where people are welcomed as much as their food”
