Cambridge University Library houses a rich collection of Middle English manuscripts. Many of these are well known to scholars, but others are understudied or even completely unknown. In this talk, Dr Clarck Drieshen (Oschinsky Research Associate 2024-25) explores some of these mysterious manuscripts, including newly discovered fragments of Middle English prose and verse, an illuminated book of hours, and other treasures.
The talk will be accompanied by a small display and a drinks reception.
