Burning Man is a ministry committed to bringing powerful and challenging bible teaching to men. We meet every other Thursday morning during term time. This term we're looking at 1 Peter.
Join us on the 23rd November as we welcome BIshop Michael Nazir-Ali to come and teach on 'Standing Firm for Christ'
Any man is welcome, but we particularly encourage you to come with others from your church, so you can go on that journey together!
Michael was born in Karachi, Pakistan, to a Muslim and Christian family. He converted to faith in Christ at 15. He has studied and taught at a number of universities including Karachi, LST, Cambridge, Oxford and Harvard.
Michael became Bishop of Raiwind in 1984, the youngest bishop in the Anglican Communion. In 1994 he was consecrated Bishop of Rochester, and was the the first Asian religious leader to serve in the House of Lords.
Now based in Oxford, Michael is president of OXTRAD, on the faculity at LST, Wycliffe, the Lahore College of Theology, the Alexandria School of Theology and the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies (OCMS). He is also a gifted bible teacher, and is the author of several very good books.
