Overview

Join Scottish CND for our 2026 Burns Day Poetry Event on Sunday, 25th January, 3–5pm online!

As Scotland’s long, cold nights draw in, join us for the 2026 Burns Day Poetry Event, celebrating peace-themed poetry and good cheer to carry us through the darker months.

Enjoy an afternoon of peace-themed poetry with renowned poets, including Julie McNeill, Hugh McMillan, and Finola Scott.

Attendees are invited to submit nominations of poems in Scots and/or on the themes of peace. Please email scnd@banthebomb.org with the full text of your nominated poem and let us know whether you would like to read it yourself or have one of our guest poets read it on your behalf.

The event will be hosted by Clare Phillips, a long-time SCND member and writer, and will continue to offer the warm and engaging experience that has delighted attendees in previous years.

This event is free to attend, but if you would like to support Scottish CND’s work, you can make a donation here: Donate.

The Zoom link for attending online will be sent to registered participants shortly before the event.
