About this event
Building on the success of our previous Burns Night celebrations - this year, held one night early - we’re thrilled to announce our fourth annual event, featuring an enhanced menu that captures the warmth and spirit of past gatherings.
Burns Night honours Scotland’s beloved poet Robert Burns, famed for writing the iconic New Year’s anthem, Auld Lang Syne. Join us at The Wellington Hotel to celebrate his legacy with an evening of Scottish dancing, traditional bagpiping, fine Scotch whisky, and more. With a Scottish owner and family at the heart of this event, there’s no better place to experience this special night.
Set in our charming Victorian Villa perched on Ventnor’s cliffs, enjoy stunning views of the English Channel and the cosy ambiance of our boutique bar, warmed by a roaring log fire.
We’re proud to welcome the Caledonian Society for this memorable evening.
We will be joined by a guest speaker for 'Address to a Haggis' and a visit from our in-house bagpiper for a true genuine experience.
Your ticket includes:
- A three-course Burns Supper
- Live traditional 'Address to a Haggis' by an authentic Scot
- A Scottish dance demonstration by the IOW Caledonian Society
- Live bagpiping performances by a true Glaswegian piper
- A Scotch whisky tasting showcasing our finest top-shelf selections
Please note the menu is being finalised to ensure a hearty, authentic feast, including Scottish favourites such as haggis, neeps & tatties, smoked salmon and Dundee cake. Kindly inform us of any dietary requirements in advance.
This exclusive event is limited to 30 tickets, ages 18+.
Date & Time: 24 January 2026 at 18:30 (the evening before Burns Night).
To make room for dance tutorials and other activities, tables will be shared communally. Please note that you may be seated with guests you don’t know—an excellent chance to meet new friends!
In the true spirit of Burns Night, we encourage everyone to wear tartan to celebrate the occasion!
Why not elevate your evening by adding a pre-arrival drink at a special discounted rate? Or, keep the celebration going longer with an overnight stay (room only; breakfast not available during January).
