Leonard Bernstein was one of the titans of music making in the 20th century. His timeless compositions for choirs, soloists and orchestras remain essential parts of the musical canon along with the many great songs he wrote that have now become jazz standards. Among his most memorable creations are his extensive musical theatre compositions of which “West Side Story” is the most famous.

Giving voice to this wide collection, in his original and most creative manner comes Rob Barron with his trio, a creative jazz pianist, who recognises that Bernstein’s imaginative creations give themselves generously to an updated and improvised interpretation. Rob devotes the first half to “West Side Story”, whilst the second half captures a wide range of music from Bernstein’s “Candide”, “On The Town”, 'Wonderful Town”, “A Quiet Place” and more.

Rob Barron is a mainstay of the London jazz and studio scene. Constantly in demand, he is a first call pianist highly regarded for his improvisational flair, innate musicality and deft touch and highly regarded original arranger of popular songs. This has led him to work with Claire Martin on her latest release as pianist and arranger and also many visiting American artists such as Al Jarreau, Marlena Shaw and Grant Stewart.

His own trio regularly plays at Ronnie Scott’s jazz club and has played opposite creativity The Louis Hayes Quartet, The Kenny Barron Trio and Cecile McLorin Salvant. Rob’s latest album, From This Moment On, was released in October 2020. BBC Music Magazine featured it as one of the best jazz releases of 2020 and gave it a 5 star review citing “This is classic piano trio jazz at it’s very best.” The album has already had over 8 million plays on digital streaming platforms

Winner of ‘UK Jazz Act Of The Year’ and ‘Vocalist of the Year’ at the 2022 Jazz FM awards, Georgia Cécile is at the helm of the new wave of UK jazz crossover artists. Growing up in Glasgow’s vibrant jazz scene, Georgia's grandfather was a renowned jazz pianist and she studied piano first before training as a vocalist and graduating from Edinburgh Napier University with a first class honours in popular music. Inspired by the likes of Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder and Duke Ellington, the vocalist and songwriter’s debut album ‘Only The Lover Sings' co-written with her pianist Euan Stevenson, was “one of the most heralded albums of 2021” (Jazzwise) and topped the UK Official Charts -Jazz and Blues category.

Jeremy Brown graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 1994 and went on to work in Peter King's quartet and pianist Julian Joseph's trio.

Since then Jeremy has become much in demand in the UK and Europe as a backing soloists such as Charles Mcpherson, Deborah Brown and Curtis Stigers and working as the regular member of many groups including The Rob Barron Trio, Blue Note Artist Stacey Kent, the BBC Big Band and the Anita Wardell quartet.

Jeremy is also part of a team of musicians playing under the baton of conductor John Wilson recreating the sound of the MGM years.
