Event description

Description

Join the Hidden Horizons team for a day of bushcraft activities. This family oriented day will include a range of activities, such as animal tracking, plant and tree identification, shelter building, fire lighting, outdoor cooking, sourcing fresh water and foraging.

The sessions have been designed to suit families with children aged 8 and above, all under 16s must be accompanied by one adult and any one adult can have upto 4 children with them.

We will provide most of the equipment you will need but you should bring the following with you: -

  • Sensible clothing (including waterproofs)
  • Wellies or strong boots
  • A drink and any snacks (you will be making your own lunch!)
  • Any medication etc you might need during the day
  • Notebook and pen (only if you want to take notes)

Full details of where to meet etc will be emailed upon booking. A code will be provided to give you free access to the Dalby Forest Drive (which is a toll road), this will be given to you on arrival on the day as you don't need it until you exit the Forest.

Sorry, but we can only offer refunds when we cancel a trip due to weather conditions or similar circumstances. If you are unable to make a trip you have booked, please do contact us and we will do our best to offer you an alternative option.

We’re pleased to be an official Learning Destination of the Scarborough Children’s University, sponsored by The University of Hull.
