About this Event
**** UPDATE 25 JANUARY 2021 - Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 restrictions this event has had to be postponed. A new date will be confirmed once circumstances allow.***
The States’ Trading Supervisory Board (STSB) is looking for experienced business leaders who can bring additional commercial expertise at board level.
Established in 2016, the STSB brings together all the States’ trading businesses, which have combined assets of more than £600 million and annual turnover of more than £200m.
We are looking to recruit advisers to join the company boards of our different businesses. These include Guernsey Water, States Works, Guernsey Dairy, Guernsey Waste and Guernsey Ports - which oversees Guernsey Harbours, Guernsey Airport and Alderney Airport.
This can also provide a pool of potential candidates for future non-executive director roles for Guernsey Electricity, Guernsey Post and Aurigny.
Anyone interested in finding out more is invited to an information evening on Wednesday 3rd February 2021, in the Colborne Room at the OGH. This will include:-
- Introduction by STSB President, Deputy Peter Roffey;
- Summary of the aims and objectives of the board advisers initiative, by STSB non-States Member Stuart Falla MBE;
- An insight into working as part of a Board, from Guernsey Post Chief Executive Boley Smillie and Guernsey Dairy Management Board business adviser Sarah Macknight.
The evening is open to all, and attendance is free. Please book your place by registering through this page.
