Britain is set to leave the European Union on 31 October 2019 and businesses need to be aware of the likely changes to UK VAT accounting and the potential introduction of customs duties when trading with the EU thereafter.
Price Bailey are planning seminars to advise affected businesses on the new requirements, including any systems changes, accounting procedural changes, contractual changes with customers or suppliers or restructuring EU trading to minimise the impact of the new rules. These changes do not only affect those transporting freight across the EU. UK businesses selling or purchasing goods online, providing electronic, digital, or telecommunications services or tour operators selling to private individuals based in the EU, will need to understand the changes.
With insights from our VAT partner, Daphne Hemingway and our Customs Specialist, Paula Reet, you will learn about the changes necessary to your current VAT procedures, whether customs duties will be payable, and whether you should consider your terms of trading post Brexit.
