Description

Overview

In this workshop, we will explore how to use the TASTE Engagement Model to enhance an Agile Transformation with Strategy Deployment. This is a style of organisational improvement that engages the entire workforce in figuring out how a business can survive and thrive. The workshop will introduce TASTE and Strategy Deployment using a framework called the X-Matrix – an A3 format which concisely visualises the alignment of True North, Aspirations, Strategy, Tactics and Evidence on a single sheet of paper. This approach treats a transformation as a form of Catchball, a Lean practice through which improvement ideas are developed as they are passed around an organisation. Participants will learn how this can be achieved with additional Backbriefing and Experiment A3s to promote collaboration between teams as they experiment and discover solutions. As a result, solutions can emerge from the people closest to the problem, rather than being defined and directed by managers.

Agenda

The following topics will be covered:

  • Understanding the need for Engagement Models and Strategy Deployment
  • Describing the difference between Strategy Deployment and other styles of organisational improvement
  • Viewing Agile Transformations as strategic endeavours
  • Creating alignment with the TASTE Model and the X-Matrix
  • Promoting autonomy and empowerment with Backbriefing and Experiment A3s

Learning Objectives

By the end of the day, you will be able to:

  • Describe an Agile Transformation in terms of Strategy Deployment.
  • Prepare an X-Matrix to visualise an Agile Transformation.
  • Get started using Backbriefing and Experiment A3s to guide an Agile Transformation.

You should consider attending if you are:
