Description

Become a trainer and/or increase the breadth of your inputs. This intensive course will equip attendees with the knowledge and practical knowhow to design and deliver cross-cultural training inputs. This course will appeal to people already working inside companies/organisations and those individuals looking to supply this service to companies, organisations, groups or individuals.

There will be a consideration of theory, but the emphasis will be upon the practicalities of designing and delivering cross-cultural training.

Some examples of training course people deliver: Inter-Cultural Awareness; Working in Multinational Teams; Managing Across Cultures; Engaging with specific countries/nationalities e.g. UK, Brazil, China, India, Saudi Arabia etc.

The course is delivered by Barry Tomalin. He is a world recognised consultant, writer, seminar leader and public speaker, who specialises in international business culture, communication and cross-cultural interaction. Barry has worked in over 60 countries worldwide and draws upon a wealth of expertise and commercial insight to help companies drive up their performance. He has been delivering the course since 2007. Barry is a well published author and his book, written with Mike Nicks, ‘The World’s Business Cultures and How to Unlock Them’ is in its third edition.

Course Structure

  • Pre course reading
  • Two days delivery, Saturday and Sunday in Central London at the historic and exclusive private members East India Club in St James's Square (dress code applies)
  • 10:00 to 17:00, with breaks in the morning, afternoon and for lunch
  • Tea/coffee included each morning and afternoon
  • Sandwich lunch included on Sunday

  • Communications drivers
  • Management Style drivers
  • RADAR management profile
  • How to bring your training sessions to a successful conclusion



Course Requirements

  • English Language: Advanced Level, Common European Framework
  • Age: 21 and over
  • Willingness to learn and engage with others in a short intensive period

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

21 years of age.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The venue is served by three London Underground stations: Piccadilly Circus, Green Park and Charing Cross. The closest rail station is Charing Cross. Parking in the local area is available, but it is expensive.
