Event description
Harnessing BAME Entrepreneurship, Business Growth and Innovation - Creating NextGen Solutions, Wealth and Employment Opportunities

About this Event

SSCG One Africa Network in collaboration with The Entrepreneurship Research Cluster part of The Centre for Enterprise, Innovation and Growth at Birmingham City University (BCU) Business School invite you to the forthcoming Networking Panel Discussion on Business, Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Midlands on Friday 13 March 2020 at Birmingham City Business School, Birmingham.

Entrepreneurial opportunities represent an important channel for economic and social participation and upward mobility, by allowing disadvantaged or marginalised groups, including young people, women, refugees, migrants, ethnic minorities and the disabled to create their own opportunities to participate in the economy. While not all startups and small businesses are innovative, new and small firms are often the driving force behind the sort of radical innovations that are important for economic growth, since they can work outside of dominant paradigms, exploit technological or commercial opportunities that have been neglected by established companies. They also enable the commercialisation of knowledge that would otherwise remain un-commercialised in universities and research organisations.

Join us at the Panel Discussion Series where our leading experts and speakers will discuss opportunities and innovative ideas to accelerate the success of BAME entrepreneurs, businesses, innovations and professionals to become the next engines of growth.
