Business Law & Start-ups: Start up and stay out of trouble!
Wed 15 February 2017, 17:30 – 19:30 GMT
PLEASE NOTE THIS HAS MOVED TO SEMESTER 2.
The law touches every part of business, and how well you stay within the lines can often have a huge impact on performance (and your books!). This flash talk will include an overview of the main issues and implications for modern businesses from a prolific local law firm as well as a legal tips and tricks session from a senior lecturer (and practitioner) from our own College of Law and Criminology. The focus on the second part of the session will be on start-ups giving some useful insight for current (and future) entrepreneurs!
This semester The School of Management is teaming up with some of the leading names from the world of business to bring you a series of unique and inspiring flash talks.
The talks will give students the opportunity to see and hear first-hand how senior managers think about their businesses, their people, their operational challenges and commercial opportunities. The talks will be held in the School’s showpiece glass sided lecture theatre adjoining the stunning Atrium on the ground floor. A light buffet (with fresh pizza!) will be available in the Atrium prior to the talks where guests and visitors can chat and network informally in a relaxed atmosphere before the talks begin.
All attendees are required to formally register for the events as space is limited and as part of your registration we’re asking you to pose a suitable and related question for the speakers. We look forward to seeing you, and don’t forget to tell all your friends too. Please share on Social Media to make your event even better!
