SimpleGifts run community programming from our Bethnal Green, East London premises. Our programmes - including our After School Club, New Neighbours/Old Neighbours Lunch, and ESOL classes - are all run by a team of dedicated volunteers. Over 150 pass through our doors each week for education, nourishment, companionship and a sense of purpose. We respect the rich cultural tapestry of our local area and strive to make our centre a place of respect and friendship.
Roles: Human Resources role around helping us improve our volunteer handbook and policies, as well as developing our induction process.
Frontier is an international non-profit volunteering organisation that runs over 450 conservation and community development projects in over 60 countries across the world. Established in 1989, Frontier has over 25 years of experience in sending volunteers abroad on engaging and capacity building projects. By encouraging the combination of travel with volunteering, Frontier inspires people to step off the beaten path and make their travel meaningful; volunteers can gain qualifications and improve their personal development skills to help boost their CVs.
Roles: 3-6 month internship opportunities in our London HQ in Events and Outreach, Marketing, Online Journalism, Project Development, Overseas Operations and Research
Centra is part of Circle Housing, a non profit making group whose mission is to enhance life chances. Being part of the group enables us to access a wide selection of skills and knowledge across both the housing and social care sector
Roles: Project Management, HR/Recruitment and Training.
The Bar Pro Bono Unit is the Bar’s national charity that makes it possible for barristers to balance a dedicated practice with making a significant contribution to the community. We match make members of the public who need help with barristers who are willing to donate their time and expertise in deserving cases for those who are unable to obtain legal aid and cannot afford to pay.
Roles: IT/General officer interns: to start asap who can help with general data entry and administration. Legal interns: who can assist during Summer 2017. We will open recruitment in April 2017.
Place2Be provides emotional and therapeutic services in primary and secondary schools, building children's resilience through talking, creative work and play.
East End Homes are a community led, Registered Provider of Social Housing based in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Eastend Homes was set up as part of the Tower Hamlets Housing Choice programme and was registered with the Housing Corporation in January 2005. We are also a registered charity.
