The Baton of Hope Business Leaders Networking Breakfast at Cobbles and Clay
The Baton of Hope is coming to Bradford on Tuesday 9th September and you are invited to be part of the event by attending the Baton of Hope Business Networking Breakfast from 7.45am – 10am at Cobbles and Clay on the famous cobbles of Haworth Main Street. There will be the option to visit the Bronte Parsonage Museum after the event. This is included in the donation for the ticket.
What is the Baton of Hope?
The UK’s biggest suicide awareness and prevention initiative, the Baton of Hope, comes to the Bradford area on Tuesday 9th September. The aim of this national tour of 20 UK locations is to raise awareness of suicide but also to start necessary conversations, prompt important actions, and to continue to unite the nation with a goal of being a zero-suicide society. On the 9th September baton bearers will weave their way across the Bradford area with events at various locations throughout the day with entertainment, stories of hope and time for people to gather together ending the day with an evening of entertainment at Bradford Live, Bradford’s exciting new venue.
The first event of the day is the Baton of Hope Networking Breakfast at Cobbles and Clay where there will be a celebration as the Baton of Hope passes plus the baton will make a special appearance at the Breakfast.
The charity’s vision is for…
‘A society where suicide and suicide prevention are openly and widely discussed, where we inspire hope through action, where people are suitably supported, and where everyone plays their part in realising this vision.’
Why are we organising a Networking Breakfast?
The Breakfast is gathering leaders together with plans to inspire, inform and make change for the future. We can all play our part and can make a difference individually and collectively.
As Business Leaders and owners; you are in a position to influence and create a culture of support within our organisation which will not only impact teams but their family and friends and the wider community.
If we all know the signs to look out for, how to start a conversation if worried about ourselves or others and where to signpost and get help – the ripple effect will be phenomenal!
Why attend?
• The Breakfast is an opportunity to network with other business leaders in a relaxed, friendly environment
- Listen to our inspiring guest speakers
- Hear from one of the founders of the charity – Mike McCarthy who will be talking about the workplace charter and the vision for the Baton of Hope
- We will be supporting the Baton going past and welcome the baton with baton bearers
- It is taking place at Cobbles and Clay, Haworth and will include a delicious Breakfast in beautiful surroundings.
- There is the option to visit the Bronte Parsonage Museum after the event.
- By attending you will support the Baton on its journey, and you will be starting the conversation. The more we talk and more importantly listen the better it is for all of us.
