This tradition is a gesture of gratitude—thanking women in public life for their leadership, resilience, and dedication to shaping a more equal society. It is also an act of solidarity, recognising the challenges they face and honouring their role in advancing women’s rights.

The event was inspired by the legacy of Jo Cox, who tragically lost her life for being a woman in politics. In her memory, we continue this tradition to celebrate, support, and stand with all women serving in Parliament today.
