About the speaker
Peter is an innovation professional with 30 years of experience and was a pioneer in the personal and social transformation brought about by mobile and internet technologies. This foundational experience informs his approach to the profound changes driven by the sustainability transition, which is reshaping lives, businesses, and society.
His practice focuses on technological innovation across a wide range of sectors, including energy and telecommunications. He works from the early stages of business model development - asking "What is the problem?" - through to supply chain analysis, investment case creation, and the implementation of innovation. Throughout, his work is grounded in a commitment to community, social value, and environmental benefit. He is a passionate advocate for the Well-being of Future Generations Act and integrates its principles into his work.
Peter applies social science research methodologies and has particular expertise in stakeholder research and engagement. His multidisciplinary background includes training as an earth scientist, accountant, agile product owner, systems thinker, and environmental manager.
He has experienced every stage of the innovation cycle, held non-executive roles in regulatory bodies and the third sector, and served on social enterprise investment panels. He is also a regular guest speaker at universities.
