And better still: If you are new to networking altogether, you can combine the meeting with attending the Business South 'Start Networking' event nearby from 4pm to 6.30pm.
Join in - It will be fun!

3.45pm For those who are new to networking: join Business South for 'Start Networking' event at Tapas Barcelona only 5mins away. (Note: You have to clearly state in your booking below that you wish to attend this additional event. If you do so, we will book your place for you!)
4pm Start Networking!
Who is this for?
All staff and volunteers from Accredited (or WTA) Museums in Hampshire Solent and the South East region are welcome. The session is informal and highly flexible to adapt to the level of skills and experiences of attendees.
This is a great development opportunity if:
- you are new to business networking and would like to find out more about how it is done and why it is important
- you are looking ahead to a career in museums and appreciate that business networking will be important in your future
- you are a reluctant networker looking for ways to build your confidence
- you do networking occasionally but feel that it is not very effective yet
This being an introductory session, experienced and confident networker are very welcome - but may be asked to share their experience rather than gain new insights! For you, we are looking ahead to working together with the Catalyst: Inspiring a Culture of Philanthropy team, who are planning a more in-depth networking training event later on this year!
Am I eligible to join?
This is a small, informal meeting for a maximum of 8 people led by Jaane Rowehl, Hampshire Solent Museum Development Officer. Places are free for all delegates thanks to the funding provided by Arts Council England to the South East Museum Development Programme.
Places are available to staff and volunteers from Accredited (or WTA) museums in Hampshire Solent on a first-come-first serve basis. Any remaining places will be offered to staff and volunteers from other museums. Please select the appropriate ticket type to confirm which museum you support. You are only eligible to book a place if your work directly benefits a not-for-profit organisation such as a charity or a public sector museum.
