About this event

Upon arrival and before we start out presentation, there will be an the opportunity, subject to the weather to take a short stroll to visit the Aerozone's "Viewing Platform" which is not open to the public and provides a unique view of the runway. It might be worth bringing a coat as it can get a bit breezy!

Once we've returned to the Aerozone to grab a cuppa, we'll take our seats and give all attendees a max of 60 second to introduce themselves to the room. So, get practising how much can you say about you and your business in 60 seconds!

Our host Daniel Burford, Community Engagement Manager at London Stansted Airport will then give a brief overview about the Aerozone facilities and how as part of their commitment to inspire a generation of young people, London Stansted Airport have developed an on-site education centre at Stansted.

Our guest speaker at this afternoon's event will be Kimberley Wallace (MCIPD) Senior HR Consultant from Nockolds HR.

Topic details will be published shortly.

There will be a further opportunity to mingle with fellow business professionals and make those all-important connections. So, if you made notes from the introductions earlier, this is your chance to target those who you do not already know!

We will have business people ready to get connected with you and your business – all you have to do is get the date in your diary and book a place today!

Aerozone

In partnership with local schools, the Aerozone provides a range of educational materials and focus on three themes:

  • Science, technology, engineering and maths disciplines (STEM) – To inspire future engineering talent and to help to address a national shortfall of engineering skills;
  • Showcase the variety and types of roles on offer at the airport – To encourage young people to choose a career in the aviation industry; and
  • The history of Stansted – To inspire and teach young people about the history of the airport.

The new facility is based at the airport and is accessible to young people from ages 5 to 18 in local schools and further education establishments. Each visitor will be given a structured learning experience tailored to their requirements.
