What to expect

At the Mentor Speed Dating event, You will have only 5-minutes with each mentor so you need to ask questions and find out if the mentor is a good fit. Aim to sum up your business idea in a single sentence and the mentors will have questions but they are trying to find out if they can work with you.

We will start promptly at 5:30 pm with introductions from the mentors so if you want to know who everyone is you should arrive in good time to sign-in and get yourself settled.

There may be some time for networking at the end depending on how many people attend the event but we are scheduled to finish at 7:30.

We will then match you with a mentor after speed dating and then introduce them via email so they can contact you directly.

Overview

The contestants will be pitching their business plans to our panel of judges from Deloitte at their headquarters in London on the 14th February 2018.

The deadline to submit your business plan is 12 noon on Thursday 1st March and all business plans should be completed on the online submission form via the site: http://www.bathbpc.co.uk/competitions/2017-18/

Shortlisted finalists will be notified by Thursday 8 March.

Business Plan Competition finalists will pitch their business plans to our panel of judges on the morning of Thursday 15th March. The winner of the overall competition will be announced that evening at the Final Celebration event at Deloitte’s Bath Offices in Henry Street.
