These sessions are aimed at those starting or running a business that wish to look at their plans in greater detail and be able to use them to guide the business operations. 

 

In short the course aims to make sure your ladder is against the right wall before you start painting and that you have the right coloured paint. Hopefully you will see potential mistakes on paper rather than having to dig yourself out of trouble.

What market are we in and what are the changes that are likely to occur in the coming years? Is this market likely to grow or decline?

Enhance our performance by identifying and understanding our competition and our customers. Are we using the best channels to market? Can we improve the offer to the customer? Are there other customers that we should be talking to?

What resources and capabilities do we have at our disposal and are they being used effectively? 

The aim of the session is to start to gather the data in order to identify opportunities and threats and to help build an informed business plan.

 

Prepared and Delivered by:

Andrew has a first degree in business studies, an MBA from Henley Management College, the Diploma of the Institute of Marketing and following the Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education completed a Masters of Arts in Education in 2014.

Andrew has over 20 years experience in strategy and marketing over a range of industries, including - food, public sector and automotive. He has run his own consultancy and worked with major brands, the Cabinet Office, Police, and Charities, including English Heritage.

To book and attend workshops on Enterprise Steps you have to meet the eligibility criteria and complete the registration process.  Once registered you will need to commit to the programme and are required to meet 1to1 with your Enterprise Steps business advisor as part of the overall support package.  The 1to1 support is an essential part of the programme as it provides you with tailored support for your unique business, ensures that you get maximum benefit from workshops relevant to your business, and allows us to continue to offer a fully funded service that is free to the businesses registered on the programme.

 

The Enterprise Steps project is led by Newham College with London South Bank University and Enterprise for London and is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
