Business Planning with Barclays:
In this day and age it is vital that charities and community groups run their organisations professionaly. Barclays have kindly offered to come and offer some tips on creating a business plan that will help your organisation to prosper and grow.
Shape Mendip Lottery:
Jane Sharp will be talking to us about how Mendip District Council will be launching a new weekly online lottery in early January 2017 and answering any questions you may have.
Tickets are £1 each and and you can win up to £25,000. All funds raised will go to good causes that benefit the Mendip community; the council takes no money!
Each ticket sale means 50p goes direct to good causes, 10p is used to support other good causes within Mendip through the Central Fund, 20p goes to prizes and the remaining 20p is for administration of the lottery and VAT.
If you are a good cause operating in the Mendip district, then you will soon be able to apply to sign up to the lottery (subject to meeting the joining criteria).
We will also have the opportunity to hear from Sharon Blyth the Spark Voluntary Sector Adviser for Mendip and Sedgemoor plus the chance to network with other groups from your area.
