Business Redundancy Support Live
Event Information
About this Event
If your business is struggling and you’re being forced to make redundancies just to survive, or if you’re already in the throes of letting your employees go, join us for our free live online event to find out what support is available to you in Cornwall.
Focus from the Outset and Outset Cornwall both offer back-to-work and business start-up support programmes and we’ve teamed up with a host of knowledgeable experts to offer advice and insight on how to manage redundancies effectively, with genuine care and support, to help alleviate the stress for all involved.
Aimed at Cornish business owners of all sizes, plus HR or line managers who would like to offer their employees more than the statutory support, our event will equip you with the latest information to bolster the redundancy care you can offer your employees.
In true Question Time style, BBC Radio Cornwall's Daphne Skinnard will be getting answers from the panel in response to the anonymous questions from you upon event registration.
The panellists in the Question Time hot seats:
- Clare Harris - Cornwall Local Enterprise Partnerships - Redundancy Task Force
- Josh Hoole, The People Hub - Redundancy Support platform
- Ann VanDerMeulen - Federation of Small Businesses
- Kim Conchie - Cornwall Chamber of Commerce
- Donna Negus, Sekoya – HR and Employment Law Specialists
- Neil Rowe - Department for Work and Pensions - Rapid Response Service
- Dawn George - HR Director, Eden Project
- Joy Salisbury - Focus from the Outset & Outset Cornwall
We understand the importance of privacy in these sensitive times and have therefore set up the event to ensure all attendees are anonymous, there is no need for video or audio from anyone on entry.
If you want to go beyond offering statutory or standard redundancy packages, but don’t have the resources, know-how or finances, this event will give you the information you need to help with your planning.
It’s hard to find your team, it’s even harder letting them go. Together we can make a difference.
