Business "Scenario Planning"

Description
Scenario Planning, A Way To Get Alignment With The Management Team On Strategic Direction
Management teams frequently find it difficult to reach consensus as to which direction to take when faced with a complex situation where the future is uncertain. Discussions can get heated, when people find it difficult to understand or accept alternative viewpoints, ie direction X vs direction Y.
This presentation describes a powerful tool, Scenario Planning, that explains why this occurs and a way to unlock deadlock and reach consensus. The key is to understand and map the future scenarios that individuals are imagining. Once this is done, it becomes clear that under Scenario A, X is the best course of action, and under Scenario B, Y is the best course of action. So the debate shifts from whether it is direction X or Y, but rather which Scenario A or B is more likely, or to defer the decision until it is more certain which Scenario is likely to materialise
Furthermore, to perform well and to increase its valuation, each business must be managed in all its aspects. We will introduce our balanced scorecard approached and its 4 pillars in business :
- Performance
- Control
- People
- Process.
Key questions that are addressed by this method are the following:
- How can performance be set, measured and managed so that the business is on track to increase its valuation?
- How can growth become regular, sustainable and controlled?
- How does the business become more valuable with succession planning
- How can processes be designed to ensure that performance becomes independent from business owners and so to increase the value of the business?
Ultimately, the value of the business can only be increased if actions are taken towards the right direction.
We will answer all the above questions with our balanced scorecard session
