Held in collaboration with the Edinburgh Centre for Financial Innovations, this event forms part of University of Edinburgh Business School’s ‘Business Series’ a programme of public, in-person events which bring together practitioners, staff, students and members of the Edinburgh business community around a shared topic of interest.   


Speakers 

Alex Sanchez 

Alex Sanchez is an accomplished leader and visionary in the financial industry, best known for his role as the Founder, President, and CEO of Salva Financial Group of Florida. With a career spanning several decades, Alex has established himself as a strategic advisor and expert in crisis management and financial regulation. Concurrently, he serves as an Executive Advisor at Nasdaq, contributing to global capital market services.  Alex is an Honorary Professor at University of Edinburgh Business School. 

  

David Wicks 

David Wicks is Vice President, Listings, at Nasdaq.  His career at Nasdaq has spanned nearly 30 years, beginning after he joined the exchange through the acquisition of the American Stock Exchange.  In his role he advocates for listed companies and provides them with services to help with investor relations, governance, and ESG initiatives. David holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
