Business Week Humber - Youth Enterprise Summit

About this Event

THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT.

If you are interested in being on the reserve to attend then please contact Charles.cracknell@hullcc.gov.uk and he will add you to the list

You are invited to attend our Youth Enterprise Summit on Wednesday 3rd June 2020 at Hull KR's Craven Park Stadium, Registration 9:15 am for a 10:00 am start and due to finish for 1:00 pm, a provided lunch will follow the event.

The aim of Hull’s third Youth Enterprise Summit event is to show how enterprising young people are, and highlight what extra support they need from us in order that they meet their full potential. You will also be able to meet and chat to a number of the young entrepreneurs in the City.

You will also have the opportunity to listen to Lizzy Hodcroft, whose infectious creativity and boundless energy make her exciting to work with and inspirational to listen to. Selebogo Molefe, founder of The Hook up Dinner Movement in South Africa, will also be speaking and pupils from Gillshill Primary School will demonstrate how enterprising they are as they sing their Enterprise song linked to the Big 13 Enterprise Skills & they may even set us a challenge or two.

There will be a Q & A session with young entrepreneurs and guests will learn about their business journey after they received support from the John Cracknell Youth Enterprise Bank and the Making Changes for Careers Programme, as well as other programmes in Hull such as The Growth Hub, #GrowMySME Programme, Prince's Trust and the Hull Youth Support Trust.

The event will see the Youth Enterprise Bank www.youthenterprise.co.uk re-launch its new membership scheme, whereby people will be given the opportunities to mentor and financially support young entrepreneurs in the area. There will also be the launch of a booklet featuring young entrepreneurs who have received support as well as the 2019 Global Entrepreneurship Week Report.

As you will appreciate this event can only be put on thanks to the sponsorship of Hull City Council and a number of young entrepreneurs in the City, and as the event is free we would like you to ensure that you attend after booking. Therefore, if you do cancel within five days of the event or do not attend we will expect you to make a contribution to our Youth Enterprise charities, Action for Ashley and Joy for Joel, both of whom are young people who suffer from the life limiting illness Duchenne.
