Leadership and the development of future and existing leaders are priorities for any organisation. But enduring myths about what makes for good leadership, combined with a lot of poor practice in leadership development, leave the space mudied and full of myths and misunderstandings.
The experienced and accredited workplace psychologists at WorkLifePsych have launched a campaign to improve the quality of leadership development bust the myths that confuse the leadership conversation.
In this final session in the 2025 series, Dr. Richard MacKinnon and Dr. Rachael Skews will explore the topic of myths about leadership. They'll explain:
- How are myths different to fads and fashions?
- What are some of the most common myths about leaders and their development?
- Why do myths persist despite the evidence?
- Why it really matters when myths are taken as fact
- How to be more evidence-based when it comes to leadership and leadership development
