Event description

Description

Join the Edinburgh Zine Library to create zines, share your experiences of sport, and explore LGBTQI and human rights issues in sport.

Whether you're making a fanzine about your favourite LGBTQI players, want to shout out about the sport you love, or explore LGBTQI representation in media (or just your inexblicable teenage obsession with Bend It Like Beckham), or you want to explore your own experiences, positive, negative or some complicated mix of the two, this is an opportunity to find out how zines are made to do all these things, and more, in a supportive and creative environment.

We'll have zines from the collection for you to read for inspiration and during the workshop we'll show you how to make your own mini-zine, and work together to produce a collaborative zine you can take home with you.

This event is part of the LEAP festival fortnight - check out more of the events here: http://festivalfortnight.org/

The George Washington Browne room is on the lower floor of the Central Library. Thre is a lift with level access. If you have any questions about the accessibility of the room, or are anxious about attending and want to get in touch, contact us at edinburghzinelibrary@gmail.com
