About this event

Butterfly Transect

Meeting at Waterside Valley

A chance to join Steph on a butterfly transect, identify butterflies and contribute to the monitoring of this site.

We will also be giving out resources and identification sheets so that you can get started with your own butterfly surveys!

We will be covering common butterfly species found in the Somer Valley, what a transect is and how to walk one and how the data will be used.

This training is great for beginners and those looking to refresh their training from last year.

Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Steph for more information.
